Our Online Trading

Piano players wanted. Piano players wanted. Skoob is not just a damn fine bookshop in Bloomsbury. We've also built a reputation for top quality mail order supply. Our partner company, PsychoBabel Books in Oxford, manages the internet order service. These books can be viewed in the shop although NOT immediately. They can also be ordered direct by post.

Books ordered before 3pm weekdays will be in the post that evening, securely and impressively wrapped and protected. We've posted to over 100 countries and supply to some of the most prestigious libraries and institutions in the world. Every mail order customer is special and should expect to receive personal e-mail progress on their order.

Advanced Search
Please note: These books cannot be picked up immediately from the shop. See text right.

You can search over 107,000 books by author, title, keyword from here and order direct on our secure server. We always send abroad by Airmail, in the UK by Royal Mail 48. We accept all the usual credit and debit cards, Paypal, €, $, £, cheques, Postal orders, Book Tokens, €, $, or £ Bank Transfers or even cash. You'll be asked to register to purchase, but your details will never be used by us or anyone else to try and sell you stuff you don't want or send e-mails you don't need.

Now here's the complicated bit. Pay attention! If you find a book using this search, you won't necessarily be able to pick it up from Skoob in the Brunswick unless you ask us at least a day in advance. Similarly, if the book you want isn't found using the search it doesn't mean we don't have it in the shop (Apparently a triple negative is OK. ref Fowler's). Of course we have some titles in both places, and according to the British Library, there are quite a few in neither. We spend time every day trying to rectify the latter, but you can email us your search list and we'll set the bloodhounds on the trail for you. We'll tell you availability, speed of delivery and the cost of the book plus postage and packing.
